I just have three main suggestsions...
First off, there is not much posting going on, and I think it is because this forum is so big. The last post was in Da Vinci on May 25th. A lot of the forums with memberships this big have more posting going on. For example, I am on a forum called Elendor. It has 28 members, and of those 28 only 5 or so are active. Elendor forum has 249 total topics and 5459 posts. Kingdom life has 277 posts in 140 topics. KL has been around since 2/2006 or so I'm guessing, whereas Elendor has been around since 8/2004. KL already has more topics open than Elendor does, and Neniel, the admin at Elendor, periodically weeds through deserted threads. It seems that if you start smaller, people won't be so overwhelmed by such a big forum.
Another thing I have noticed is that KL is geared toward mostly women and mothers. There is nothing wrong with that, but what about trying to turn it into a Titus 2 sort of ministry. Draw from younger and older women in your search for posters. That way, there is a lot of inter-generational wisdom that can be shared. Besides, us teens help make things more light-hearted Many mothers do not have time or know-how to use the computer, so teens usually have more time and things to post.
The third thing is that a lot of this needs to be consolidated. The er and praise & giving boards could be combined into a fellowship thread or something. Current Events, Creation-Evolution, and Defending the Faith could be combined into a friendly debating board. Writers Corner could be moved into the Hobbies section, as well as Graphics. All of the Decorating boards should be combined and put under Home Management. Instead of having 7 boards for Kitchen Stuff, why not have Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks be the 4 main boards with topics under them?

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
