I had a dream last night. My husband and I was on this big ship with one of those big wheels to guide it. There was a lot of people on it with us but they would not listen to us as we tried to lead them in what needed to be done to keep the ship going. They all just ignored us and soon they just disappeared and we were alone. We kept passing through islands. We could not port on any of them because whenever we tried we just went right through them.
We seen some that really looked pleasant and beautiful but we could not stop there. We were getting so tired all we wanted to do was stop some where and rest but we couldn't. We came upon this one island that was covered in fog and people were just wandering all over it not being able to see where they were going or even where they were. As we went through this one it was an island of confusion and a voice told us that these were the ones that started out doing the Lord's Work but got lost in the confusion of the world and hadn't been able to find their way back. That was a horrible place!
As we went on we came to an island that was very dark. We couldn't see anything but black. As we started through it we heard screams and could see evil looking eyes in the darkness everywhere. The voice told us that the ones trapped here were those that knew the Word and even spread the Word and many found there way because of them but something happened and slowly the spirit of pride came in and they let their guard down.
These are the scriptures that God led me to on this part of the dream.
Matthew 26:41 (King James Version)
4 1Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Hebrews 10:29 (The Message)
26-31 If we give up and turn our backs on all we've learned, all we've been given, all the truth we now know, we repudiate Christ's sacrifice and are left on our own to face the Judgment—and a mighty fierce judgment it will be! If the penalty for breaking the law of Moses is physical death, what do you think will happen if you turn on God's Son, spit on the sacrifice that made you whole, and insult this most gracious Spirit? This is no light matter. God has warned us that he'll hold us to account and make us pay. He was quite explicit: "Vengeance is mine, and I won't overlook a thing" and "God will judge his people." Nobody's getting by with anything, believe me.
When we got through that one I was so relieved that we did not stop there. Somehow I knew that our journey had only started.
Then there was so much water it seemed that it would never end. The wind picked up and we seen an island that was covered in a big storm cloud with lightening and thunder very loud and it was raining so hard as we went through this one that you could not see anything. It was a very slow trip through this one. I thought that we were going to stop here. All we could do was hold on to each other as the boat guided itself. We knew that Jesus was at the wheel. When we got to the middle of the island there was such a peace and a calm. There were many people in the middle just worshiping God. We could see people out in the storm falling and screaming and crying as they could not find their way to the middle.
The voice told us that this is the storms we go through in life and the people that were in the middle were the one's that just hung on to Him and let Jesus lead them to the peace in the midst of the storm. All the other people in the storm were all the ones that was trying to do it their self. Some of these were people that once followed the Lord also but got caught up in the cares of this world and sought help from the world instead of the One that created it.
I was led to these scriptures concerning this part of my dream:
Mark 4:18,19 (Amplified)
18 And the ones sown among the thorns are others who hear the Word;
19 Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamor and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.

Then we came to this island that looked like an awesome resting place. Very beautiful and there were many people on it that we could see just resting and relaxing. We went slowly through it and even got to stop and rest but not for very long.
The voice told us that this is where the ones that labor and are heavy laden are placed when they put their trust in Jesus. They stay here only for a time of rest then have to move on again. It was wonderful to get to rest and relax for a bit. We had been journeying so long. We didn't stay there long before we were on our way again. We didn't want to leave.
Matthew 11:28-30 (Message)
28-30 "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
The next island we came to there were people just laying everywhere sleeping and as we went through this one there was a deep pit in the middle of the island and all the people were slowly sliding toward it. The voice told us that these were the people that would not move and stayed in one place becoming stagnant. Just slowly heading for the pit without even realizing it. We could feel the sleep and tiredness as we went through this island.
Here is the scripture I was led to for this one
Mark 13:36 (Message)
32-37 "But the exact day and hour? No one knows that, not even heaven's angels, not even the Son. Only the Father. So keep a sharp lookout, for you don't know the timetable. It's like a man who takes a trip, leaving home and putting his servants in charge, each assigned a task, and commanding the gatekeeper to stand watch. So, stay at your post, watching. You have no idea when the homeowner is returning, whether evening, midnight, cockcrow, or morning. You don't want him showing up unannounced, with you asleep on the job. I say it to you, and I'm saying it to all: Stay at your post. Keep watch."
After this we came to an island that was not lovely to the eye at all. There was stubble and trash everywhere. People were doing all kinds of idolatry and such. As we started through this one I could see only a small group of people off to the side that was praying and worshiping the Lord. There was a light around them and it started growing and the boat stopped as if for us to just watch. As the light grew some of the people started to run but others ran toward the light and received a Bible and joined the small group that had grown to many.
The voice told us that these were the ones that kept the faith and persevered in the wickedness of this world. These were the ones that kept their focus on Jesus and helped each other lest they should fall. These are the ones that don't quit or give up in discouragement because they have strength in numbers.
Here is the scripture I was led to on this part
John 4:21-24 (Message)
21-23 "Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you Samaritans will worship the Father neither here at this mountain nor there in Jerusalem. You worship guessing in the dark; we Jews worship in the clear light of day. God's way of salvation is made available through the Jews. But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you're called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. 23-24 "It's who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That's the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration."
Hebrews 10:25 (New Century)
25 You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other. Do this even more as you see the day coming.

Then we came to an island where it looked deserted except just a few that were wandering around in rags as if they were lost crying. To our surprise our ship ported at this island and the voice said that this was where we were to get off. We told Him that there was nothing or nobody here. His reply really hit us.
"There is nobody here that you see as important but to these hurting in the world , the one's that nobody sees as important is the very ones that I send My People to. So many times you want to have a glorious ministry: teaching, preaching, revivals, and only do this at the services where you all gather together in My House. Remember a physician helps those that are sick and sometimes they need ambulances to get to the hospital. You Are The Ambulances That I Have Sent. The position I place you in should not matter to you what should matter is if you are able to humble yourself enough to fill that position that I call you to. This island has no glorious church for you to pastor, no big congregation for you to entertain, nobody to pat you on the back for your labors, only the lost that need Me and that I send you to. This place will be a hard place. It will not always be comfortable or pleasant. There will be times when you are so tired, like on this boat, that you will want to search for a place to rest, and will still have to keep going for the time is short. Remember you are to be a servant where ever you are and if you get on the island of confusion just call on Me before it is too late."
Hebrews 13:5,6
5-6 Don't be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, "I'll never let you down, never walk off and leave you," we can boldly quote,
God is there, ready to help;
I'm fearless no matter what.
Who or what can get to me?
This dream really shook me up and there is nothing I can add to it. I think that it speaks for itself. I just pray that we don't get off on any of these islands that God does not place us.
Your sis in Christ
Teresa
